Alex has recently graduated high school at Trumbull Career & Technical Center where she became a licensed cosmetologist. She was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma and has recently started treatment to fight for her life.

Sadly, her father passed away one year ago after a long battle with cancer.

Casal Aveda Institute has joined the “It Takes a Village, Team Alex” campaign and on Saturday July 13, donated money raised to help with Alex's medical expenses.

Participants showed their support by wearing purple and students offered purple nail polish changes to guests for a $2.00 donation (purple is the ribbon color of Hodgkin's Lymphoma).  Thank you to all of those who showed their support.
