Rose Parlor is seeking its first-ever Part-Time Salon Assistant to join its creative team! This opportunity is ideal for a licensed Ohio cosmetologist or recent cosmetology graduate who is licensed or preparing to receive their license.

The salon specializes in a variety of modern hair services, including:
Lived-in color and balayage
Grey blending
Precision and curly haircuts
Hair extensions
Customized styling and finishing techniques

Salon Assistant Responsibilities
As Rose Parlor's first salon assistant, you'll gain valuable behind-the-chair experience while helping keep daily salon operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities include:
Shampooing, rinsing, and conditioning clients
Mixing color and preparing for salon services
Assisting with blowouts and finishing techniques
Managing laundry, towels, and station preparation
Keeping shampoo areas clean, stocked, and organized
Greeting clients and supporting a welcoming salon experience
Occasionally helping film behind-the-chair content for the salon's Instagram
This position provides a firsthand look at both the technical and operational sides of a successful independent salon.

One of the most exciting aspects of this opportunity is the hands-on education and mentorship provided by owner Kathleen Rose.
The selected assistant will receive personalized training in Kathleen's signature balayage and textured cutting techniques, along with practical color experience and ongoing professional guidance.
For recent graduates eager to refine their skills, build confidence, and expand their creative abilities, this mentorship can provide a valuable bridge between cosmetology school and a career behind the chair.
An Opportunity to Grow with the Salon
Rose Parlor is planning to expand from four to eight salon stations in 2027!
As part of this growth, the salon assistant will receive first consideration for a flexi or permanent station of their own, creating a potential pathway toward building an independent clientele and establishing a long-term career at Rose Parlor.
While a future station is not guaranteed, this opportunity offers an exciting possibility for professional advancement.
Position Details
Position: Part-Time Salon Assistant
Location: Rose Parlor — Ohio City, Cleveland, Ohio
Qualifications: Licensed Ohio cosmetologist or recent cosmetology graduate who is licensed or nearing licensure
Schedule: Wednesdays and Thursdays, one 4–5 hour shift per day
Hours: Approximately 8–10 hours per week to start
Compensation: $15 per hour
