This year, Casal Aveda Institute will be awarding one Scholarship in Cosmetology and one Scholarship in Esthetics.

Scholarship awards include full tuition, kit fees, enrollment, and application fees.

Contest Details

• Please complete the online application below by Friday, March 10, 2023 at 5:00pm.

• Everyone will be contacted by email and text when we receive your application to compete.

• Once selected to compete, please look for a model (must be at least 13 years old). The model you choose cannot have prior industry training or schooling.

• Please take a before picture of your model without having hair or make up done, in front of a white wall and text it to 330.349.5665 or 330.221.0092. Please don’t forget to include your name.

• You are responsible to bring yourself and your model to Casal Aveda Institute at 9am on Sunday, March 19th competition begins at 2pm in Center Court. Lunch will be served to you and your model on that day.

• Contestants must bring their own supplies, tools, and the model must bring ALL BLACK clothing of their choice.

• Choose a model that is comfortable walking on a runway.

• No color or cutting will be performed on the model the day of competition.

• Contestants must work alone on their model.

• Cosmetology contestants will be judged on total look hair style and make up (wearing solid black clothing).

• Esthetics contestants will be judged on best make up application (wearing solid black clothing).

• The judges will be comprised of stylists, salon owners, and industry professionals.

• Models will be judged on essay, model transformation (before and after), and overall look to determine the winner.

• There will be one full Cosmetology scholarship and one full Esthetics scholarship awarded.

• It is not a requirement to enroll prior to the competition.

• To be eligible to compete, you must be a high school senior, have a high school diploma/GED or equivalent.
